It made a lot of the troubles we were facing seem surmountable. If Bared to You was about discovery and opening one’s self to love and Reflected in You was about the lengths one would to for that love, Entwined with Youis about hope and the personal strength that comes from love.Īs rough as things were, he was there for me to lean on. Day is “expecting” it will be before the end of the year. The release date of the fourth Crossfire book has not been released but Ms. Not sure if that’s really a big complaint considering how thrilled I am there will two more books. Entwined with You felt like a bridge between Reflected in You and Book 4.
Even though many interesting things happened in the course of the novel I was left feeling much was unresolved. My one complaint with this book is with the ending. I don’t trust myself not to fuck this up, and you don’t trust that you’ve got what I need. In Entwined with You, Eva and Gideon finally believe in what they have, although, as Gideon points out, they still need to learn to trust themselves: They give each other what they need, making the other stronger and better in the process. Through Eva’s strength and love, Gideon has learned trust and the power of sharing oneself. The fact that that future includes Gideon is nonnegotiable.
She’s an abuse survivor who refuses to be a victim any longer, facing her own demons – and Gideon’s – and fighting for a future of her own making. As alpha as Gideon is, Eva gives as good as she gets.
RELEASE DATE ONE WITH YOU SYLVIA DAY SERIES
Quality romantic erotica.Īs hot as Gideon Cross may be (as Eva reminds us perhaps a wee bit too often), the real draw of this series for me is Eva Tramell. As raw and erotic as the sex scenes may be, they are always tempered with an emotional intimacy and connectivity that sets Sylvia Day’s work apart. There are, however, some abso-freaking-lutely SCORCHING scenes in this book. Not to say the action approaches anything like the levels of kink found in books like Fifty Shades or The Siren by Tiffany Reisz. The intensity of Eva and Gideon’s sexual relationship continues to increase, with some decidedly less-than-vanilla encounters. This is by far the most sensual off the three books. Day throws at the couple, she brilliantly navigates them through the chaos, leaving fans feeling hopeful – finally. They also have to deal with new, as well as continuing, troubles from parents, friends and former lovers (Yes, Corinne and Brett are still around – maybe they can just run off together and leave Eva and Gideon alone?). They continue to deal with the repercussions of the events at the end of Reflected in You (the action in Entwined with You picks up almost following the conclusion of the previous book).
After all the angst of the previous two books in the series, it’s refreshing to see Eva and Gideon so open, honest and together in this book. I should start out by saying that this is the book, as a devoted Crossfire series fan, I’ve been waiting for. I want to shout and scream and squeal: Can you believe that they…?! What in they world will they do about…?! I wanted to cry when…! I think the problem has been that, as always, I’ve had such a visceral reaction to Sylvia Day’s work, mere words can’t describe it – especially if I want to keep my review spoiler free. I’ve been staring at a blank screen for quite a while now trying to get my thoughts pulled together enough to write a coherent review. Together they strengthen their love, acknowledging that their lives, indeed their very souls, are forever intertwined – and neither would have it any other way.Īfter all Gideon and I had been through, all that we were still going through, all he’d done for me … it was harder to disbelieve than to believe. Eva and Gideon work together to face demons from their past and challenges in the present, all in an effort to find a happy-ever-after of their very own. Summary: In the third book of the Crossfire Series, Gideon Cross and Eva Tramell continue their erotic and compelling love story.
